How Can I know my sins are forgiven, and that I will go to heaven one day?
1. You need to be saved from sin:
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)
“Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3)
2. You cannot save yourself:
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, He saved us.” (Titus 3:5)
3. Jesus provided for your salvation:
“Who (Jesus) His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (I Peter 2:24)
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
4. You must accept Jesus for salvation:
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” (Acts 16:31)
“But as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” (John 1:12)
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
5. Now is the time to accept Jesus as Savior:
“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (II Corinthians 6:2) My, friend, don’t be deceived into thinking you are too good to need a savior. Nicodemus, a
good moral religious teacher was told, “ye must be born again.” John 3:7
Also do not think you are too bad. To the woman caught in adultery, Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn thee, go and sin no more.” John 8:11
It is clear from Scripture: God loves you, Christ died on the cross to pay for your sins. You can become a child of God now if you will honestly turn from sin to Christ for mercy and
forgiveness. Will you accept Christ NOW?
