Visiting Woodruff Baptist

We realize that it can be a bit unnerving visiting a church for the first time.  We can assure you that the building is structurally sound so the roof will not cave in when you enter.  Here is what you can expect.

We try to reserve the spaces along the west end of the church building for our guests.  Please feel free to park there.  Someone will greet you at the door with a bulletin and a friendly smile.

If you have young children, you are welcome to take advantage of our unstaffed nursery.  It is down the steps to the left as you enter the door.

People at our worship services will be dressed in a variety of ways from suits and ties, dresses, to business casual, to jeans.  We are more concerned about you and your relationship to God than how you come dressed to church.

The Morning Worship Service at 11 AM will last about an hour.  The typical elements will include several traditionally done hymns and songs, prayer, receiving an offering, Scripture reading, a time of greeting one another, and an emphasis on preaching.

Our preaching is focused on understanding the Bible, verse by verse, chapter by chapter and then making personal application to our lives so that we can live in a way that is honoring to God.  It is the desire of our church family to learn and grow to be more of the type of people that God wants us to be.

After the sermon, typically, we will sing a song and have prayer to close the service.  After the service, we welcome you to hang around and fellowship.  An important part of the church is connecting with others.  You will find the people at Woodruff Baptist to be friendly and truly interested in you.  We hope you will visit with us soon!
